How not to wear your make-up in 2008
There are certain rules you must make sure you adhere to in Autumn 2008 and one of these is not to over apply the sultry cat eye look and to know when to wear it and how to wear it.
If you get this right then you will look fantastic but this is one of those looks that can also go horribly wrong if you don’t know what you are doing. Beauty experts recommend that you do not strive for a look that is too dramatic for during the day, because you will look too garish. During the day stick to light make-up, light foundation and don’t wear dark lipstick.
If you want the trendy cat eye look during the day, use a very thin line of eyeliner, or even better dark eye shadow around the lashes and then smudge it in so the look is not too dramatic. Wearing shimmering light eye shadow with a defined lash line is also a stunning look for during the day.
Further mistakes that often happen are during seasonal colour changes and are when a person attempts to merge two seasonal shades – this never works. A common mistake for make-up colouring was shown earlier this year when we still saw the winter 2007 fashion colours of green worn with early 2008 colours. This did not work. Apply this principal throughout all seasonal changes.
The brown smoky look for eyes turned to a metallic based colour which opened the doors to bronze tones, gold and yellow this year.
Replace any shades of green eye shadow, eyeliner or mascara immediately with blue to avoid a fashion faux pas.
