Fendi
Fendi is one of the most famous Italian fashion designer brands which was born during 1918.
Today the original Fendi is part of the famous ‘LVMH’ Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A. group, whose current creative director is the famous Karl Lagerfeld.
It was created in 1965 when the marriage between Fendi and German born Karl Lagerfeld took place.
At the helm, the first thing that Karl Lagerfeld did was to invent the well-known FF logo.
Famous mainly for their furs and garments, with Lagerfeld on board the brand changed it’s materials for the clothing range opting for light and easy to wear fabrics that are soft to touch instead of the lavish yet heavy materials once used.
In 1966, Bloomingdale’s were the first United States store to stock the Fendi’s leather goods line which quickly caught on in the States. Now, Fendi has its own large store on New York’s prestigious Fifth Avenue and many other Fendi boutiques around the world.
During 1985, Fendi introduced its first fragrance to the market which was a perfume aimed at women simply named; Fendi for Women. As with their other products Fendi’s fragrance line has come a long way in 20 years and includes the Fendi Donna Eau de parfum spray. Now catering for the male audience they brought out Fendi Uomo (for men) and have expanded further to incorporate a variety of Fendi fragrances and gift sets for men and women.
