So we’re all back at work now and fully in ‘January Mode’ but how many of you have made New Year’s resolutions? I mean there’s so much pressure to make life changing transformations but after chatting with the people in the office I realised a lot of them have made beauty specific resolutions for this year. If you’re still struggling for inspirations on what to focus on in the beauty department then keep reading and see if any of these take your fancy…

I got a Magnitone Cleansing Brush for Christmas and I’m determined to use it regularly to help improve my skin’s texture and tone. I never used to use a proper cleanser to clean my skin at night, just relying on micellar water to remove makeup. So this year I’m stepping up the cleansing game to hopefully reveal fresh, glowing skin!

I am 100% going to focus on cleaning my makeup brushes more often. We are all guilty of give them a quick clean every now and again but for this year I’m going to make it a focus to clean them once a week. There are so many products available now that make it easier (and quicker) to clean your brushes so I’m hoping it won’t slip!

Having a proper cleansing routine. I used to be so good at cleansing, toning and moisturising everyday but I’ve just got out of the habit! I tend to just remove my makeup at night and slap on some moisturiser but I really want to get back into using proper cleansers and toning too. So for this year that is going to be something I focus on to try and make sure my skin is super healthy.

Using vitamins for hair and nail growth. I really want to improve the condition and strength of my nails this year. I often just put nail varnish on but find them quite weak and brittle. So I’m going to start using conditioning treatments on them to help give them a bit more moisture and also try the Yves Rocher Hair and Nail Food Supplements as I’ve heard great things about them.

This year I’m going to strip back my skincare routine to products I know work for my skin. I am guilty of trying new products all the time and don’t give my skin enough time to get used to something before I’m on to the next. I’m going to try and stick to the cleanser, toner and moisturisers I know work well for my dry skin. And then adding in a serum or a mask when I feel is needed.

This year is all about focusing on my beard! I have recently started to grow a beard and am going to focus on keeping it in the best condition possible. So I’m going to use beard serums and conditioners to keep it in top condition!

At the end of last year I decided to go vegetarian so am really focusing on organic products which will hopefully help with my skin as well.

I don’t really have any proper beauty resolutions but I really want to focus on getting active this year by drinking more water and doing more exercise, generally keeping fitter. So more to do with wellbeing than beauty.
