Detox for New Year
After all the Christmas festivities you will probably be one of many now wanting to make more of a conscious effort to sort out your skin and considering a diet.
New Year is the right time to start a new beauty routine, to change your make-up for the new season’s fashions and to give yourself a new look.
International make-up artist, Ruby Hammer says:
“Keep the five key beauty rules. Don’t forget your SPF and keep out of the sun; drink plenty of water; invest in a good skincare routine and great products; eat well and exercise; and stop smoking. I would also recommend making the effort to give your make-up bag a makeover in the New Year. People keep products for far too long. You should change your mascara every six months.”
Presenter of Channel 4’s programme ’10 Years Younger,’ Nicky Hambleton-Jones says:
“Pinks, peaches and soft red lipsticks are all coming back for spring/summer and they’re an easy way to update your beauty look. Wearing colour on your lips also helps brighten up your complexion and gives you more of a youthful glow. Also, drink as much water as you can. At least two litres a day will ensure your skin is hydrated and plumped up from the inside out. If you’re over 35, use an exfoliating mask once a week to remove dead skin cells and plump up skin.”
