Giorgio Armani admires Kate Middleton’s sense of style.

The Italian fashion designer revealed he thinks Britain’s future princess - who will marry Prince William on April 29 - is “highly aware of fashion trends” and he is looking forward to seeing her outfit choices in the future.

Giorgio - who will design Charlene Wittstock’s wedding dress when she marries Monaco’s Prince Albert in July - told WWD Kate is “so discreet and straightforward, but highly aware of fashion trends”.

He added: “She will have all the time in the world to become fully integrated into her new role and choose the most sophisticated and precious dresses and outfits for official occasions.”

Armani is not the only famous designer to admire 29-year-old Kate; Karl Lagerfeld has previously praised her “chic” look and commented that she is both “beautiful and elegant”.

He said: “FOR the royals, apparently the royal blood is not in demand any longer.

“Better for the generation to come. She is very different from Princess Diana, and seems a very well-balanced and a happy person. She is chic in a way the position needs.”

Lady Gaga’s debut fragrance will smell of “blood and semen”.

The controversial singer has signed a deal with Coty Inc. - one of the world’s largest beauty companies - to create a range of perfumes, following in the footsteps of other pop stars such as Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani but it has been reported her scent will be a little more unusual.

An unnamed source who has been hired to help develop the perfume has told website Fashionista the controversial singer requested that the scent “smell of blood and semen.”

It was revealed last year that Gaga will name her fragrance Monster, after her fans who she refers to as “little monsters”.

The unusual perfume will be released in 2012.

Along with developing her own scent, Lady Gaga is also reportedly set to enter the world of fashion.

The 24-year-old singer is said to be planning to collaborate again with French label Thierry Mugler after she acted as musical director at the menswear show in Paris earlier this month.

Thierry said: “It’s me and her just having fun and getting very inspired from the idea of Mugler. She’s very much involved, more in the early stages.”

Naomi Campbell misses having Alexander McQueen’s advice, because he was “always right”.

The supermodel has paid further tribute to the late fashion designer and her friend, who sadly took his own life in February, reflecting on the great tips he gave her during their friendship.

Naomi said: “While we worked together many times, ours was a true friendship. He was very sincere and supportive. He would always call me up and offer advice. And, you know what, he was always right.”

She also spoke of the support she received from other models, in particular Kate Moss, in the wake of Alexander’s death when she put together a series of his designs for her Fashion For Relief show, which raised money for the victims of this year’s devastating Haiti earthquake.

She added to Britain’s Grazia magazine: “I knew he would have wanted to do something for Haiti and there was no way that, just a few weeks after his death, I could not do a tribute to Alex.

“Kate had never walked for one of my shows before but I didn’t even get to finish the sentence before she was like, ‘I’m there’. We all felt the same way.”

She also added her memories of the designer were: “Small and personal, of private dinners together.”

Tommy Hilfiger is looking forward to wearing summer clothes over Christmas.

The US designer - who lives in New York - is spending the festive period in Mustique and he can’t wait to don some cool outfits as he’s getting fed-up of wrapping up warm for the cold weather.

He said: “The whole family is going to our house in Mustique. It’s not your typical snowy white Christmas, but we really enjoy relaxing and visiting with our friends. We go to every year - it’s our home away from home.”

“I can’t wait to wear short sleeves. It’s been so cold in New York that I am really looking forward to warm weather.”

While he is looking forward to relaxing over Christmas, the 59-year-old fashion mogul recently revealed he has no intention of giving up designing.

He said: “I love the fact that no two days are alike for me. And I love that the collections can be different from the previous season. And you have the ability to invent and create, but still balance it with some logic.

“I also love the visuals. What I learnt is that athletes or models, maybe even actors, can’t do what they do for life - but I can do this forever.”

Marina Diamondis of Marina and the Diamonds has become the new face of Max Factor.

The British beauty - famed for her unique sense of style and love of bright colours - will represent the brand’s Max Colour Effect Range.

Writing on twitter - and posting a picture of herself at the photoshoot - Marina said: “This morning I became the new face of Maxfactor!

“Can’t reveal much yet but managed to snap look 1 in the loo. Don’t think of loos though. Think of make-up.(sic)”

Marina has previously revealed she would not like to do a “skanky” celebrity clothing line but would be keen to be involved in the fashion world.

“And one day I’d like a child - but I’m not sure about marriage.”

The 59-year-old fashion mogul - the man behind the Tommy Hilfiger brand - says he loves everything about his job and wants to remain the principal designer because he gets so much joy from it.

He said: “I love the fact that no two days are alike for me. And I love that the collections can be different from the previous season. And you have the ability to invent and create, but still balance it with some logic.

“I also love the visuals, Colour, art, music. What I learnt is that athletes or models, maybe even actors, can’t do what they do for life - but I can do this forever.”

Tommy has always loved fashion and says his talent for designing started from a young age.

He said: “I learnt my eye is different from others’. I could look at something and think, ‘That could be a bit shorter and be very cool.’ Or, ‘Maybe if that were green it would be better.’

“So I would always look at something and wonder how it could be different, better or more relevant for today. I didn’t realise that I had that talent until way later; I thought that was the way everyone looked at clothes.”
