To apply eyeliner, add it to the top lid only. Get a mirror close to your face and bend your head slightly backwards so you can get a precise line with the brush. Try and run the line as close to the roots of your top lashes as possible.

If you like to add a line to the bottom of your lashes dot eye shadow between the roots of your lashes and smudge it slightly with a sponge or brush.

If you wish to apply kohl to your inside eye rim, again tilt back your head and lift your eyelid slightly away from your eye then add the colour to the outer half of the rim of the eye. If you do this, only ever apply eyeliner and no other substitute, as eyeliner has certain ingredients in it which make it safe for use around the eye. Other makeup items could cause a reaction if used in this area. Only ever apply eyeliner to the inside of your eye if it is your eyeliner or you could pick up eye infections.

An eyeliner tip: If you dampen an eye shadow sponge that has a corner, dip it into your eye shadow and apply it to your upper lid where you would normally apply eyeliner, you can achieve instant definition along your lash line.
