50 Cent launches his ‘Power’ to the fragrance market
The new celebrity aftershave that is the talk of most high fashion news sites is 50 Cent’s new fragrance which is called ‘Power.‘ The aftershave is due to be launched in 2010 and will be the first from the world famous American rapper and actor.
50 Cent was born Curtis James Jackson III and his debut celebrity fragrance will be launched worldwide at the beginning of 2010 following in the footsteps of other such celebrity fragrances as Sean Paul’s ‘I Am King’ and ‘Unforgiveable.’
50 Cent’s has used many Calvin Klein fragrances in the past and he has also reported his love for Armani. The singer however wanted something special for his new celebrity aftershave, something that he felt would smell of success and he is said to have achieved this.
The fragrance has been designed to appeal to a “universal” market which goes way beyond the frontiers of the United States of America and the tastes of the American market.
The singer recently commented that in the neighbourhood he had grown up in (South Jamaica in New York’s Queens), the fragrance and aftershave culture amongst his childhood friends was relatively restricted to deodorant.
The head perfumer Harry Fremont of the fragrance brand Firmenich has developed the new 50 Cent designer aftershave which produces the top notes of lemon leaves, Artemisia and black pepper. When this aftershave dries down it produces the aroma of patchouli, oakmoss and musk.
