2008/2009 Transitional Make Up Trends
As we reach the later part of 2008, bold red lipstick has started to become the latest trendy colour for the catwalk, the street and the red carpet. Fashion experts predict that this will be carrying over into 2009, the lip look is set to become popular when complemented with a simple coat of mascara on your lashes (black is the ideal colour).
Some of the most recent public appearances of Princess Caroline, Charlotte Casiraghi and Eva Green have all shown these successful women donning the bright red lip look.
For the fairer skinned of us, bright red lips can still be carried off. If you keep your look simple without too much emphasis on colour elsewhere on your face and a simple natural looking foundation you will achieve a stunning look that is also classy.
Never be too heavy on your eye makeup if you have fair skin and want to pull off the vampish red lipstick fashion. If you still desire a smoky eyed look, go for lighter shades of grey and only add a touch.
A good tip is to add highlighter to the corners and the inside of your top and bottom eyelids. This will brighten and widen your eyes.
Lipstick trends in 2008 and those predicted for 2009 actually range quite far and wide and another bold lip colour trend which is on the rise is the bright pink lipstick look.
The fashion trends that appear each season for makeup are largely based on what is happening in the world of clothing and hair.
White eyeliner is one of those trends that comes and goes seemingly of its own accord. Using it though is quite a personal matter and it will emphasise a fresh clean look, which is exactly right for the spring months. It is normally applied on the inside of the eye or underneath the lower lash. It can, alternatively be used at the sides of the eye and with more pressure to produce a deeper, whiter result.
